You'll be staying between terminals C & D which are connected in one long hallway. The only chance you have to leave is if IAD-BOS is not operated by mainline and you wind up possibly having to go to A or Z (unlikely). And as someone else pointed out, TSA Pre means nothing here since you aren't going through security at IAD.

All 3 IAD-BOS nonstops have been mainline the last 3 days.

I->D at Dulles, UA->UAX, arriving at 2:25 with a 2:10 layover, and its the last onward flight of the night. Checked bags, GE, TSA pre. How big a risk is this?

Thanks in advance!

No problem at all, except the usual (small) risk of heavy delay on the "I" inbound.

DEN-IAD-LHR later this month with 35m connection as a GS (the non-stop isn't running on the day I need). How likely is this to go bad?

Is that a legal connection? I'm not sure you'll find many here who would book that. That said, it looks like UA is holding TATL flights for connecting passengers (even saw one that was held a hour) but I don't think I would do this one. What about ORD or EWR?

Thanks, both. This is what I expected; sadly, the other options really don't seem much better, so I may end up taking my chances and writing in to GS to ask them to have someone meet me for the connection.

There is DEN-EWR-LHR, with a 64m connection, but given the EWR mess, I'm really not sure that's preferable...

IMO 64 minutes DI in EWR is far better 35 minutes IAD

Depending on timing of day, the EWR might be preferred if only to have backup options if you misconnect. I would factor in recovery options into your overall evaluation.

No same-day backups either way. At least in IAD, I have my own place in DC; my backup is the 6a DCA-EWR connecting to the 8:30am EWR-LHR.

In my opinion:
Taxi time from landing to gate is much faster at IAD then EWR. Ive had more snags at EWR over IAD. Flow control into EWR is an issue too.. Ive noticed earlier arrivals at IAD vs EWR too (albeit my origin was LAX) If youre going D to D or D to C or something like that at IAD you wont have an issue, especially with alerting GS
