Crossed 1 million mile last week on a flight from IAD to ZRH. The FA recognized this and let me have any drink and any number of on that flight. They processed my lifetime companion earlier this week.

Congratulations! Did you have to alert UA that you’d be hitting this milestone on that particular flight? I’m curious to see if there’s a reason that some people get acknowledged, but not others.

Hello Experts,
I was 1K for 8 years in a row (2008-2015). Change in job, so not much travel anymore (this year no status what so ever, in 2017 they gave me complimentary 1K)). Need 21,493 PQM to attain million mile status (hence automatic gold status). What is the best and cheapest way to achieve this?

Buy and fly ticket(s) that provide you with 21,493 BIS miles (not PQM) at the least cost.

it’s February and you’ve flown at least 33,000 miles last year. If you keep that pace up, you’ll reach your goal soon enough: what is the rush?

Andy: LAX-SIN is $515 roundtrip right now, 17,000 miles. I'm also approaching 1M and looking at all my mileage run options. Think I'm going to grab this one!

Tempting. I’ve never done an MR before, but I think I’ll start thanks to the new boarding process. I want to accelerate my efforts to reach 3 million lifetime miles.
