Right. And as a reminder to the uninitiated: The person who organizes the dinner gets to put the tab on their credit card and get all of the points for it. Everyone else reimburses the organizer in cash.

Hello Everyone! Would someone at one of these events do me a favor? I have moved to Thailand and will not be able to attend these events. If a message can be passed on to Capt Denny, I would be grateful. I represent a foundation that rescues elephants from the tourist and logging industry, if Denny is ever visiting Thailand, I would like to invite him to our project. Please inform Denny that Dave, the Asian Chicago Police Sergeant says hello and wishes him well in his retirememt. Khob Khun Khrap! (Thank you!)

Unfortunately, I'm now out. Late Thursday my travel schedule for next week was adjusted by a day and there's no way I can make it to the east bay in time for dinner. Please give Denny my best!
