Denny told me he's been in talks with them, but nothing had been agreed upon or resolved. He said he didn't want to be in Chicago 5 days a week. So, marketing tag phrases seemed premature.

I will be posting pictures but it will take me a couple of days... the logistics aren't in my favor during my trip.

United advises that there will be a longer version of the video and it should be up on the United Airtime website tomorrow.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is also working on a story that will likely publish this weekend.

Well... That's a shame. What if we organize a FlyerTalk dinner every week? I'm sure Sweet Willie can arrange that!

If he ever decides on taking some type of marketing venture with UA, I want to somehow try to be part of his liason crew for it, if ever possible.

Was that the fire engine on the right side? We definitely got it on the left side as we were pulling in to the gate. (I have video and photos of it but need to resize them before posting)

Edit:
A little of a side note. I know most of you saw how I was dressed for the non-rev and trying to catch the flight. As glad as I was to give the final send off, if I was hesitant sounding during the announcement, a few things in my head happened. 1) I almost forgot where I was as the speech is usually ingrained as I repeat it over and over, 2) the camera was on me from headquarters which I noticed partway through, and 3) I was starting to get the feelings of regret and sadness that I was not on the flight. I hope it was an enjoyable flight and hope to see some of you around.
That was fantastic the SEA gate agents provided you with that opportunity - what a way to be a special part of the flight even though you couldn't fly with us!

I'll be watching for you at DEN on my nearly-monthly trips.

Recent software upgrades take care of that. No need to resize.

Just as Pat mentioned earlier, the Cleveland Plain Dealer wrote an article on Captain Denny's retirement. Here's a link to the article:

Correct me if I am wrong...

As Oscar is walking out of the plane with Captain Denny ( 1:23) , I think I hear Oscar introduce Captain Denny as Captain Danny. Does anybody else hear that?
