UA-Lyft Partnership

Haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but UA was added as another Lyft rewards partner a few days ago. Earnings not quite enough for me to switch from earning AS miles Atmos points on Lyft rides though since I rarely do scheduled airport rides.

It’s all miles with Lyft and MileagePlus

I will switch from AS then, the 4x are very nice and I often pre-book my rides with the 10% pre-book discount

For some reason, I find Lyft consistently more expensive (20-30%) than Uber -- especially for the longer trip to/from SFO.

Wondering will Lyft replace Uber in the United credit card benefits or will Lyft be added aside from Uber in the United credit card benefits?

Both count as "ridesharing services"

YMMV. When I returned from Europe on Thursday Uber was $120 for Comfort vs. $70 on Lyft, and Black was $170 vs. $125.

I always check both and Uber is frequently more expensive despite Uber One

When I am in Bay Area, I consistently find Uber to be 20% + cheaper than Lyft. But when in East Coast, seems Lyft price is more competitive.

Same experience in Bay Area in general. My Uber:Lyft ride ratio is about 5:1 as a result.

Yeah, seems to be location-specific for me (in SoCal for example, Lyft is often cheaper). Ultimately, I'm not a heavy rideshare user, so I don't get too excited about these partnerships, but it's nice to get a few more points here and there, and not a bad way to keep account active for loyalty programs that I don't use as often.

I’ve found Uber to be consistently more expensive than Lyft. Have Uber One and Lyft Pink.

Based on some other threads, there is a theory that if you carry some gift card/cash balances, that jacks up your rate.

Does seem to vary by city. DC, Lyft usually cheaper but tends to be only about 10% at most

Boston Uber seems better typically, but again only 10%.

My example above was BOS ;)

This seems like a great deal. I use Lyft more than Uber for personal rides because of the extra earn using CSR. So now it will be 5x UR for Lyft rides, plus at least 1x RDM, with more miles for airport rides. Even bigger is all the Lyft rides that are OPM.

Linked my accounts and took a lyft home from SFO today. 3x miles on the base fare not including tip posted later this afternoon. Impressed they can post same day.

Par for the course...should actually post in real time (maybe to come later). AS does...and Lyft's former partnership with DL did as well.

By the way, OP listed AS as an example. AS gives elite qualifying miles once certain spend is reached, including Lyft and other eligible partners.
