I would rather escalate and ask why you are not getting the PQP they promised. That invitation flyer is good evidence.

And the 6-8 weeks is after meeting the spend requirement.

I have churned through a couple of Chase cards. The bonus almost invariably posts a day or two after the statement for the month in which you hit the spend threshold. The extra PQP would likely not be long after that.

update - the 80k miles cleared my account. I called Chase (number on the back of the card) - they (understandably) referred me to United - the first person I called at UA/MP (also number on the back) transferred me to the 1K desk where they looked into it - they said that since I got the 80k just the other day that confirms that I should be getting the PQP shortly - but might take another week or so to get posted...... stay tuned.....

fingers crossed that this works and get resolved in time for me to figure out a status plan for the end of the year:
a) try to get more PQF to meet the 54/18000
b) get the PQP from the card and then maybe spend to get to 24,000
c) stop chasing this.....and accept that I will not be 1k next year

This sounds like the best option. Why give yourself more work and anxiety over this? Save your extra money for upgrades and beat out the 1Ks on the waitlist...

Hostage - you are probably correct... with my current plans, I will be about 6-8 PQF short of 1K, but will have the PQP. I have a few segments planned before the end of the year and depending on how this goes - either do a PQF run or a PQP run - and move up a trip from Jan to Dec......

A few SDCs could trim this gap a bit a no $$$ costs but some extra travel time

Seems like a PQF run to collect the 6-8 PQF is really the only viable option. How many PQP are you short of 24K, after the 4K PQP hit? . Somewhat painful and may just be better to accept your fate and save the roughly 60K / $1-2k this would cost, unless that actually seems like fun to you?

Redeeming miles can also earn PQFs.
