Those questions were eliminated before TSA was ever formed in 2001. Some countries never got the message and still try to shift the blame for their own incompetence.
I don't know if that was removed at any time? |

Narita has transit security checks . . . .
I have never experienced checks at the gate at NRT, though to be fair others here transit there far more than I do.

I've bought post-security liquids at NRT and BKK several times without issue.

This isn't a UA specific issue.
However, I don't see any other FT thread, and I can't find any DHS reference list. Here are the current known/reported airports disallowing liquids for US bound departures, collected from this thread: AMM EZE JNB LIM MNL SCL SJD TLV Might consider making wiki post if desired by others. |
I don't remember the last time I was asked the old security questions on packing the myself and having it my control the whole time. It's been a few years.

SIN is essentially pre-security that they don’t allow liquids to be taken through security. It’s just that security screening happens at the gate whereafter they corral you into a pen with no services. So you can not take a bottle of water with you on the plane in SIN from what I have experienced. In TLV you can as they only seem to care about interviewing every pax.
They used to allow purchases made at Changi airport in sealed containers, but I have no idea if this exception is still the case. |

Re: questions, yes, I get that every time from anywhere with ICTS. Most recently last month for me. |

Also, empty bottles are fine and there is a station to fill them post security.

I could be wrong but i thought security was at the Gate at SIN (2022), which would preclude beverages. (tbf i was on SQ SIN-EWR) but i thought all gates had security at the gate; distinctly remember because i was SSSS.

SIN T4 uses common security when entering airside, like other airports, and doesn't have that problem(unless the destination country demand gate screening). But mainly CX/KE/other low-cost flies out of T4, not UA |
