Seems nothing can get out west from EWR/NYC with the storms. DL sent a JFK-LAX flight south over the Atlantic to South Carolina before turning west.
Looking at flight status on some of the delayed EWR-LAX/SFO flights, it appears UA may be prepping to send them to IAH (possibly via a similar routing over the Atlantic to the southeast?). Unclear if the planes will then continue to LAX/SFO or if this is just a way to shuttle people to a non-impacted hub.

I was supposed to fly DCA to LGA around lunch time today. Woke up around 7am and saw the flight was already delayed by 2 hrs+. Checked my options and got a last minute Amtrak train - Acela business class at $91 within an hour of departure was a good price - paid the same for the flight weeks ago.
Despite Amtrak being late, as usual, got in while the flight was still delayed.

Also looks like they're routing some EWR-DEN flights via....ATL?! Doubt it's a range issue because it's a 739, but...
They're still trying to get 1357 out nonstop 2.5 hours late at 18:00 but I wouldnt could on it...

The list of canceled flights on FR24 looks pretty ugly right now. I was scheduled to fly ATL-IAH-MCI this afternoon and got a delay notification around lunch time. The Airbus operating ATL-IAH was coming from EWR and delayed leaving ORF. I went to ATL early and ultimately got on the earlier flight to IAH (and I’m sure glad I did). The EWR-ATL canceled after two~ hours away from the gate and my original flight is delayed five hours and would’ve caused a misconnect. At least I’m getting home tonight vs spending the night at ATL.

Leaving from CLE this afternoon...Everything going east on every airline is basically screwed. At least one EWR on UA that didn't cancel has been delayed to 6am tomorrow.
One diversion on the ground was JAC-EWR (looks like they finally gave up hope and canceled the CLE-EWR segment, on IIRC ORD-LGA not sure of the current status.
Front line employees are getting frazzled, and abused... Make sure you're nice to them; there is no reason to take out anger on agents or flight attendants.

Looks like another rough Monday AM for EWR fliers (and other east coast fliers).
I'm on EWR-SNA tomorrow morning. Unlike the last round of cancelations, I can't drive to my destination if things get crappy. It already looks like my inbound airplane was swapped for one already on the ground, so fingers crossed I'll be ok in the AM.
Godspeed all..
