United's "new Boeing Airbus aircraft"
You read it here first -- the merger of Boeing and Airbus, according to UA's website!
"Our new fleet is bigger and better than ever with 700 new Boeing Airbus aircraft – and that means an even better experience for you."

That was my assumption as well -- but this is the team that brought us "Sobo" noodles and so many other interesting menu creations -- and with the cost cutting it also wouldn't surprise me that the team writing these releases is offshored with potentially little basic knowledge of aviation....

IMO, UA has always been poor in their wording/communications, which is often not even clear - at least since the UA/CO merger. So nothing new here, IMO. Been going on a loooong time.

This is far from the first time that phrase has appeared in the media. I've also heard accident reports on local TV of the ever-popular "Cessna Piper" airplane.

I wanted to send a message to customer care at UA to alert them of the problem but there is no easy way to do this because it does not fall into any of their pre-determined categories.
I hope someone from UA reads this board and alerts their webmaster ASAP, as this is highly embarrassing for UA!
Regardless of the reason for the typo (outsourcing, intern, chatGPT, etc.), we should expect any major corporation, such as United, to proofread their public announcements.

It began the day SK walked in the door -- and accelerated after COVID began (albeit somewhat understandably) and has been a snowball rolling downhill racking up victims ever since....
