2023Q2 PQP CC Promo: “… this is how you elevate your Premier status”

No sign of this returning in '23? I have some bigger expenses coming up in April and this would sway my spend vs getting a new card sign up bonus.

Q2 PQP CC Promo: “… this is how you elevate your Premier status”

Just in as you see below. Flights still full, so I take this as a sign that they just want people to spend more and keep the elite ranks eternally swollen…

Full T&C:

• Please allow 4–6 weeks after each calendar month-end for the awarded promotional PQP to appear in your registered MileagePlus account with a posting date of the last day of the calendar month they were earned in.

• Delays by the merchant, such as shipping, could extend the transaction date beyond the offer period. ("Purchases" do not include balance transfers, cash advances, traveler's checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, racetrack wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable. Returns and refunds will be deducted from purchase amounts.)

• Promotional PQP will apply toward Premier® status tiers up to and including Premier 1K; however, earned PQP from eligible United MileagePlus cards may only be applied up to the Premier 1K combined PQP and Premier qualifying flight ("PQF") requirement and do not count toward the Premier 1K PQP-only requirement or extra PlusPoints beyond 1K status.

• To qualify for this promotional offer, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. Credit card product changes during the promotional period will forfeit this promotional offer.

• Offer subject to change with or without notice. Other terms and restrictions may apply.

Just got it too my offer is 125 for each 3,000 up to 1500.

Could be interesting but still not exactly generous enough to push me into using it with the restriction on 1K (ie needing to do the 50+ PQF)

Not eligible for the offer either.

Wonder how the targets were determined?

I will make the PQF.

Not eligible for this one either. PQF I am on track for my normal annual status, but the extra PQP sure would be nice to ensure I maintain it as I am actually further ahead on PQFs than PQP.

I just got an email today for a promo on my Quest card – 250 PQP for every $6,000 in spend, max 2,000 PQP through June 30. This is in addition to the usual 500 PQP per $12,000 in spend, according to the email.

To contrast, my Explorer Card got a promo for 5x on gas, groceries and restaurants through June 30.

I think the Quest offer is from UA while the Explorer offer is a chase.com/mybonus offer (targeted at various partner cards, not just UA) and offered by Chase.

I received an RDM offer from UA MileagePlus today for my Explorer card:

Earn 4,500 bonus miles when you register by June 15, 2023, and spend $6,000 on your UnitedSM Explorer Card between April 1 and June 30, 2023.¹ Bonus miles are in addition to the miles you already earn for using your card.²

I guess they have figured out that I don’t care about PQP, but that mediocre offer is unlikely to get me to spend on my UA Explorer card either since it wasn’t targeted by Chase this quarter.

I received a similar offer (125 PQP per $3,000 card spend), but since I will never reach the 54 PQF 1K requirement, this is really a useless offer. 😳

Pretty sure I at least got 250 PQP last year as part of the same promotion, though I question whether it's worth it trying to set a goal for this again. Sure, more PQP is always a good thing. But it's also so early in the year that it's probably too hard for most people to tell whether an additional 250 or so PQP will make or break the difference between status levels. Even if that ends up being the case later in the year, then why not just pay ~$250 for an F upgrade on a shorthaul flight for some PQP or use Premier Accelerator?

For me, accruing enough PQP isn't so much of a problem as it is accruing enough segments.

Not eligible. Being a Presidential Plus cardholder, I wonder if any legacy holder got this offer given its cap on PQPs is far higher than any other card.

Not eligible which is fine. PQF are going to be a slight challenge, not PQP most likely.

I did get an e-mail with an offer to spend $6000 during the quarter to get 6000 bonus RDM which isn't very appealing.
