2023 UA MP elite status buy-up offers(for higher status than earned in 2022)

I didn't see this posted yet, and an agent said it just went live today.

https://www.united.com/offers/premierstatus

I earned Gold, I was offered Platinum for a whopping $2,768 or 307,500 miles. Not worth it imo, its about 5 hundred more than the PQP difference I had between Plat and Gold.

Ha. UA wants $3,374 or 337,410 miles to go from Gold to Platinum.

No thanks.

Though if this post shows what will happen, the buyup also gets you more PQPs this year. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34935761-post8.html

To be clear, it looks like it gets you the headstart PQPs for whatever status you're buying up to, if you buy up by Feb 1st, not PQPs based on the price of the status buy up

Unlike previous years, they seem to be capping status to the next level that you missed. I missed Gold by 163 PQD. They are offering me Gold for $395. For the E+ and the continued Lounge Access, personally, for me, the "upgrade" is worth it!

I better start breaking open my piggybanks. Hate to see what the price goes up to when the "Discount" period runs out :

$6,042 or 604,200 miles | Discount ends February 4, 2023

He may have saved a bit (and got some RDM) with a PQP purchase, but not a whole lot... Consolidated Award / Premier Accelerator questions

I agree, but I ran out of days and with personal familial challenges meant time was spent away from the computer. I am glad they offered it so cheap. I have used my Amex Plat - fingers crossed that this purchase "qualifies" for the $200 travel credit...one can dream, right!

The best part is that my upgrade offer was for Gold, but after the purchase (now), if I log into the offer website, this is what I get . I mean I am not going to say no!!! LOL!

I can upgrade from Platinum to 1K for the low price of only $8,372, or 837,200 miles. What a bargain!

Wow - my spouse got offer about 25% less than that, and qualified for Plat with 24 PQS and ~9500 PQM - so not much above thresholds.
