Im glad to see them back, although I would like to see them pre-arrival on a red-eye, so you look better than your passport photo when you go through border control. On a semi-recent USA-AUS round trip, it would have been a nice touch after waking up until we made it to the hotel (outbound) and Polaris Lounge (Return).

I assume it is only on Polaris flights, correct?

Domestic and premium transco are still not included?

Got the hot towels today on a Polaris from SIN to SFO. Coupled with a PDB, a new menu (Pork Loin, Haddock or roasted Tofu). And a super friendly/helpful crew to boot. It was a great way to spend 14 hours and 35 minutes....

The balance of the UA universe is back...

We got hot towels before the meal service (if you can call it that) as well as before the snack prior to landing.
But of course no PDB (inbound plane from IAH was late - that was the excuse). Kinda glad no PDB as it would likely have caused my head to implode.
Nuts were cold. But they often are :-)

Had warm nuts on SFO-FRA and MUC-SFO last week. But as always, limited to one serving

Asian carriers seem to do this before arrival. I really liked it arriving in BKK half asleep.

I'm curious how Oshibori aka Hot Towels became a global airline standard from a Japanese tradition.

It is interesting, because they weren't as far as I recall part of the service in domestic F even on transcons or Hawaii flights in the 60s-70s. The first time I can recall encountering them was on NW in the 80s on a MSP-SEA flight.

LHR-IAD - Hot towels before meal service, none before landing.

Hot nuts? None - just a foil pack of almonds.
