Polaris on 777-300ER vs 777-200

Polaris on 777-300ER vs 777-200
Will fly SFO-FRA in J with cash ticket. The flight with 777-200 is $200 cheaper than the one with 777-300ER.
Assuming Polaris seats in 777-200 are newer since they were retrofitted later than 777-300ERs. Anyone knows if there are any differences or they are identical?
Any chance anywhere I can find the retrofit time by N number perpahps?

Seats are identical. 777-300 has better soundproofing / quieter ride and one extra FA in the Polaris cabin. That one extra goes a long way in service flow / attentiveness.

I guess another difference between the 77W and 772 fleets is if you care about air vents the 777-300ER and ~half the 777-200s (the UA ones) have them, but if you happen to get an ex-CO 772 those don't

You will have any idea on the specific frame until 2 days in advance and that can change.
The first 773 were earlier (2016) but about 1/3 of them came on online (as late as 2020) as the retrofitted 772 (early 2018 to 2020 but not aware of specific frame dates @Bunky may have that) also came online became available. So in general the average 773 is a bit older then the average retrofitted 772 but the difference will be minor on average. You just will not know the specific frame until you step in it.
