Best UA transit cities in Europe (Lounge options)
I often fly UA (EWR/IAD/ORD) to Europe then connect to my final destination then do the same coming back. Mostly due to the difficulty in finding PZ>0 and STW going away.
Which cities provide the best (in terms of food) lounge options? Both for *A and PP. Since I only fly UA for the overseas segment, I'm only interested in cities with direct UA service to/from the US.
LHR: UA, LH, SG, AC, PP restaurant
BRU: Seems to just have the one lounge option in each terminal, I typically stay goto the schengen lounge and stay there as long as possible
FRA: just LH, I've never tried the PP options
I go thru those cities the most. Hard to remember the others.

The LHR UC is also really nice -- but connections are so limited it's hard to transit there unless it's a few cities (that usually have directs that provide a longer time to sleep). Fortunately I am in the UK monthly so I get my fill of the UK lounge.

While inter-european connections are possible at secondary cities like DUB, HAM, MAD, FCO, LIS, CPN, BER and the others are more limited in connections and lounges

Total day probably true -- but I really love a custom made omelet after a long UA flight with UA "food" -- and the croissants are solid -- I guess I'm a breakfast traveller as I even love the eggs in the FRA senator lounge!

FRA/MUC were always my go to Euro Hubs (mostly FRA). Pre pandemic and with GS status I could get into the LH F lounge which were super nice. Now I understand quite a few of the LH lounges are still closed but this could be changing day by day there.

Curious....What J lounge would you put above ZRH based just on the food? I think many are equal, but I can't think of one that is markedly better.
Agreed...but with the further addition of those delicious little squares of Swiss chocolate.

I enjoy MUC quite a bit, as I am a sucker for their pretzels with the good mustard. I am there every year for Oktoberfest, and they always decorate the lounge up for the event. But don't think their overall food options are better than ZRH.

Don't get me wrong, I love ZRH and 80% of my flights are into ZRH. Just on food alone ... not sure I'd rate it 'best' though.
Now ... IST in contrast

All: For each city you list, Which lounges?
Yes, I refer to J (since flying UA J) (or Priority Pass I guess)
I meant only cities that could be reached on a non-stop UA flights. We could expand it to any city with a *A connection from one of those cities, but that would really expand things, probably outside this forum.
LHR and FRA arent bad for PZ relatively speaking. (relative to zero)
Please they are cities which are receiving the "trial" Polaris meals so that's a plus too

O.k., since we are talking food and not the whisky bar ... ZRH can be good, but it can be pretty bleak as well. Often options are limited and there is a whole mid-day timeframe where they have what ... some cake and coffee? I think the food options in LH lounges are more diverse and in MUC you can go the SEN cafe for a change etc.

not sure that counts as 'Europe' for the purpose of this discussion
