Due to service workers strike 27 Sept 2022-limited F&B, UCs &retail operations at SFO

Is SFO Polaris lounge closed today? My friend who is flying Polaris for the first time said that staff at UC was saying to use UC today. Also got an email a few hours ago:

Important information regarding your flight

We’re reaching out to let you know that airport food, beverage, and retail operations may be significantly limited at SFO during your upcoming travel. Our in-flight catering will remain in service. You’re welcome to bring food or snacks for your journey, but remember to check TSA.gov for gu idelines on what is acceptable at the security checkpoint. We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to welcoming you on board.

And it looks like it might effect the lounges as well as some of the people quoted say they work at UC and SC in addition to the restaurants.

Noted in another thread Polaris Lounge is closed and customers being directed to UC (post #1046 below). I guess vendor management staff can keep UC open, but not much else.

Uh, as a UC member, I'd be a bit incredulous at being denied entry to a UC.

Is any travel waiver issued? United should not starve your friend.
