United: A or B? [now with poll!]
 

United.bomb is giving me a quiz (as a popup window that floats in front of the website, and I don't know how to respond :-)

This shows up as a separate floating window in front of my screen, blocking access to my flight reservation. Should I choose A or B?!?

I thought maybe I would choose "A", because United is always my first choice. Then I thought, maybe "B", because I assume other airlines surely treat their customers better. I'm sure FT can come up with even better rationales for A versus B :-)

Whatever choice I make, the pop-up changes to, "We thank you for your time spent taking this survey. Your response has been recorded." (But later, the pop-up reappears, so I can try again.)

Never gotten this before today.

I was about to 'mod' the title into something a bit more descriptive but upon review ... well ... I'm not sure that's possible. :o

Agreed! And it seems like every new page I go to on united.com, it pops up again :-) I kind of wish they would give me some real options to choose from. (Firefox, if that makes any difference).

It's aways important to have a Plan B.

Especially with UA. :p

After I gave up and selected an option, it seemed to stop asking.

I do not like either option. I want to select C or PZ.

I’m torn, I just flew on a trip with a B fare and an A fare.

Now that I think about it, the A fare seat was nicer, so A it is.

I do not get this popup, however. If I am forced to select B, UA will let me book a trip for free because it is Plan B, especially upgrade request for trip A won't be cleared,

Well I'm in the majority when I made my selection. United is definitely run by some B grade execs, unfortunately there was not a C option.

After 16 hours of debating, and sleeping on it, I chose A. And then I figured everyone's choosing A, so I'll go with B. But I checked the poll, and looks like 2/3 of you did the same, so I went back to A. The die is cast.

(this is both on the poll and on the actual survey)

Maybe they can add C for both. Then those needing one-stop service between Asunción and Bangkok can fly ASU-SFO-BKK.

I don't know - at least they spelled the options correctly.

Unlikely, nobody seems to be fired for tragic menu mistakes that we see time and time again. I'm sure United is getting the rejects from the companies that pay more and offer a better upside/work environment and/or choosing vendors by price instead of quality.
