Star Alliance Gold Benefits when traveling w/ family of 5
I am a United Mileage Plus Gold Member
i plan to travel internationally with my wife, sister and two toddlers on the same booking.
Are the benefits for baggage the same for the rest of my family? (e.g. 2 pieces?) Any other benefits?
Would it differ if I fly TAP or SwissAir?
Thx!
Tom

For UA operated flights, all on the same PNR get the same bag allowance. For other carriers policies may be different and you should check in those forums,
You will not have lounge access for all
*G boarding -- generally all on the same PNR
Fast track immigration , ... again it varies
Which benefit outside of bag allowance are you interested in? (best to check in that carriers forum)

Swissair no longer operates. SWISS, a Lufthansa Group member, operates hubs in Zurich and Geneva.
TAP has a reputation as being unreliable.
You and one guest could have access to the Star Gold lounges.

The LH group (e.g. Swiss) does not extend extra bag benefits to every pax in the PNR ... just to the SAG member. If you need the extra bags you should fly UA metal (first leg each way is enough to get the benefit)
