Suggestion for use of new interface
Potential workaround, while it lasts
To use the old search interface, use this URL to open the old 'advanced' interface and start the search:
If for some reason the interface doesn't work, use this URL template to construct your search manually, replacing all capital letters in the template (ORI = origin code, DES = destination code, YYYY-MM-DD = date, N = number of passengers) :
And if you get access denied errors, visit united.com (home page), refresh, then try again.
No guarantees that they keep these available, but enjoy for now.
Another tip: if for some reason the options seem too limited (either old or new interface), try just redoing the search. I have found the number of results sometimes increases the second time trying.
Code:
https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/flight-search/book-a-flight/

I always used to vacation plan using the 30 day business award calendar. It is near impossible to bring up now. Any good tricks? Everytime I think I have it figured out (ie, go to Advanced Search, click Buisiness, go to bottom and click "all flights", then refresh), the work around doesnt work. Is this preplanned so you cant find the deals, or mearly a fix that need to happen in the background?

Completely by coincidence, I tried to find award flights yesterday for the first time in a long time, and was frustrated. Then today, I found this thread.
Thanks, fumje. I've saved your hints for future reference.

I’m no longer seeing the notation for certain award itineraries that they are “Exclusively available to you as a Chase United cardholder” (or words to that effect). Definitely still seeing more/better award availability for P2 than for a non-cardholder UA account. FWIW, P2 holds the Biz Explorer & Gateway (until recently Explorer).
Other data points? For clarity, I am indeed using the old award search tool.

Went back and forth between two accounts multiple times. Definitely logged in for all searches & seeing very clear differences in available ward inventory—just not the “We love you, you Chase customer” tag for the Chase United cardholder.
