Anyone know how to obtain a card? If so, please share. (I looked on the website, couldn’t find anything.) Thank you.
Being the masochist that I am I decided to call UA to request a card. Requested “account servicing”, 10 minutes elevator music, of course connected to reservations, asked agent to confirm Club membership (as a way of confirming that she could see that information), she confirmed stating expiration 2/28/23, requested card, 2 minute hold, agent said I must speak with “account servicing”, transferred, 5 minutes elevator music, played 20 questions again, agent verified Club membership expiring 2/28/23, requested card, agent said I must speak with “club department”, transferred, 10 minutes elevator music, asked agent to verify expiration date, she did, requested a card, agent said they do NOT mail cards anymore to Golds and higher because they don’t need a card, asked if that could be overridden, “no”. As the expression goes “half an hour of my life that I can never get back again.”😊

If the agent starts talking about status, need to reset the conversion.
BTW, UC rules state there is a fee to get a replacement card -- that would be a hint the agent knows what they are talking about. Then you just need to convince them it was never received.

Thanks for the suggestion but no thank you, I’m done hitting my head against that wall 😉.
I specifically asked for a UA Club (membership) card. My elite status was never mentioned other than “golds and above do not get a card”. None of the agents mentioned a replacement fee.
BREAK
Datapoints from those who HAVE received UA Club cards are helpful but in view of the agent telling me “golds and above do not get a card”, those datapoints would be significantly more helpful if the author(s) included their status level.

I'm GS - -and before that I was a club member -- I haven't got a physical card in years -- but the lounges will accept the digital cards as they can scan them -- my tip -- add the card to your apple wallet -- I can't tell you how hard it is to try and find the card in the UA app after flying all night to FRA and they want to scan the card -- in spite of the BP showing my status (GS/*A)...
This talk about status is not relevant to the original query
If you are *G and travelling international, you don't need a UC membership, you are better off as *G (and virtual cards work).
If you are travelling domestic and have a UC membership, you don't need a UC card as it is coded in your BP
The only time you need a physical UC card is an individual without status or *S travelling internationally (believe this is the case for the OP). In the past *A lounges don't have access to UC member database, don't know if that has changed
Otherwise, you don't need the physical UC card
The fact that no one has UA elite physical card is a non sequitur to this discussion.
Assuming you are talking about a UC membership card, the subject of this thread, as a UA *G why do you need a physical UC card?
To get back to the OP, has anyone who is an UC member received a new physical UC member card this year?

The only time a physical card was of use to me was back in the day when you could enter United Clubs as a member even if you were flying on another airline (this was a very common practice at my home airport of PHL).

I just checked, and the last physical United Club membership card I received has an August 2020 expiration date. When I stopped receiving them, I never gave it much thought as I assumed physical cards were a thing of the past. Not having the card has never been an issue, but I do have *Gold status and also Priory Pass and an Amex Platinum card, so have multiple ways to enter lounges when flying internationally.

I flew YYZ-ORD on UA metal last month (ticketed on UA) and went to the transborder MLL. They just scanned my BP and let me in, didn't ask for a membership card. I'm a UC member via the UA PPMC.

Starting May 3, 2021, the guest must be traveling on the same flight.

I’m the person who early in this thread wrote “I don’t believe there are physical hard-copy-plastic UA Club membership cards anymore.” I was subsequently quoted and corrected. I simply wanted to see if and how I could receive a card.
Might it be needed if a club member was traveling on a Star Alliance or a contracted partner operated flight using a frequent flyer number other than one’s UA MP number and forgot/lost their phone? Also kinda like a Global Entry physical card. AFAIK other than returning from Canada to the US by air a physical GE card is not needed … but many still desire a physical GE card, if nothing else as proof of GE status.
FWIW, other than the one call, I have not lost and do not intend to lose any sleep over this concern. I’m a happy camper as long as I can get into a club when I think I should be able to.

Not to veer too far OT, but when I was flying YYZ-ORD last month, the gatekeepers at YYZ *did* ask to see my GE card. IIRC it was an agent checking BP's right before the CATSA security x-ray belt. I remember having to fumble around for it because I wasn't expecting them to ask. I think it's more to keep non-GE folks from mistakenly getting in the wrong line. I'd imagine if you insisted you're GE they would let you through, but I could be wrong.
