Found on Facebook - someone found a United Charters menu in their seatback pocket from yesterday.

What are the changes that this food was NOT prepared in the UA kitchen?

Well I'm going to guess that the Panera sandwiches were made by Panera and not in a UA kitchen.

Im guessing to compete in charter services, that unit of UA is not restricted to UAs scheduled flight catering contracts.

The ghost of Chelsea Kitchens is floating among the entree items.

Last two starters are both salads, but ones a Panera Salad, the other is a Panera Bread, Salad. Or maybe the last one comes with extra bread?

Also, the Tuna Salad one is listed twice.

The chances are 100% the food was supplied by other than UAs scheduled flight catering contractors.

I think theres a quick meal/snack offered just after takeoff, then a service 2 or so hours later.

There is better stuff out there, but I would settle for that menu without much objection

Im surprised a Sports charter flight has multiple vegetarian friendly items too.

Sports charters often spend a multiple of what United budgets per passenger even for premium cabin meal service. You get what you pay for and when United is budgeting very small dollar amounts per tray, the service reflects it.

But apparently not enough for United to care enough to have someone proofread or spellcheck the menu.

At least 3 obvious errors. Yes, maybe not a major deal in the grand scheme of things, but sheesh.

This thread is getting ridiculous.

The sports franchises that charter these aircraft provide nearly all the catering and are the ones responsible for creating the menus based on the food choices selected by the players and coaches.

Any grammatical issues that may arise are the responsibility of the team travel coordinator or staff. In most cases the menus are just handed to the flight attendants by a team representative and they distribute them accordingly.
