Once I filed a formal DOT complaint Priceline suddenly found a way to get their money back from the hotel for a non-refundable rate. Pretty unimpressed they did not address the root of my complaint or even offer to try this no-cost solution to them earlier.

Priceline gives their help desks absolutely no autonomy to resolve basic issues even at the floor supervisor level (so far as I can tell these agents have no more authority then the rest). I'll be staying clear of using them for these package deals in the future.

Likely a coincidence as DOT probably wouldve taken a few weeks to even address your complaint

DOT surprisingly acknowledged my complaint within about a day. Priceline.com also specifically acknowledged the DOT complaint in their response.

Why the price drop from $1418 to $1118? Could the price difference between coach and FC on the affected segments be $300?

Yet I've never seen a listing for Cincinnati, KY.

SFO is another one, it's listed as San Francisco city (where it serves) but San Mateo county (where it is) in the FAA pubs.

CVG is in Covington KY. The airport code reflects that.

It is now, but the nearest city was Covington when the airport was built.

Very few major airports are actually in the cities they are named for.
