The image from the tweet referenced was a route to Israel, which has brought back menus per https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34196947-post419.html. Also per that post, no publicly known plans to return menus to routes other than Israel and India, and hit-or-miss FRA and LHR.

Quick NRT-EWR update -- wife returned today from Tokyo and nothing has changed with the food -- same old awful choices, no menus, no nothing.... My wife skipped it all... This must be really embarrassing for the catering team at NRT -- who used to have some of the best food in the system!

Quick NRT-EWR update -- wife returned today from Tokyo and nothing has changed with the food -- same old awful choices, no menus, no nothing.... My wife skipped it all... This must be really embarrassing for the catering team at NRT -- who used to have some of the best food in the system!

Really disheartening how far on board service has fallen, with no recovery in sight.

UA Polaris food is abysmal at this point.
I reported on the special meals about how our special meals never were really catered on some segments.
It is fascinating UA cannot figure out the pre-ordering of food......but is focused heavily on cost cutting.
Compare this to even AA ...they do a much better job with pre-ordering meals and delivering that meal most of the time.

greenpau - Thank you for your trip report. One wonders, is there any point completing UA’s Polaris survey, when clearly UA has no interest in improving their poor F&B service. One bottle of champagne for a 10 hour flight on a B777! I doubt there would be enough for a first serving to pax, let alone any refills. 😊

I am 1K with 400PP… but have been flying AA because their J service and catering is so much better. I don’t think UA cares that it’s this bad.

I just completed the survey, and wondered about that! There was a question "How satisfied are you with the following elements when you travel in Polaris business class?" "5-course gourmet meal (Salad, appetizer, entree, cheese course, dessert)." I asked myself, do they know that we haven't seen this in 2.5 years?
And then asking which is more important...pre-departure lounge access or 5 course meal service. Ummm....BOTH !
They really don't get it.

All the food pics of what was served pre covid need to be sent to the C suite at UA. Might help them get a clue their food department is failing.
