To show how inconsistent things have become, I was on the 5:28 flight later the same day on an E170 and drinks were offered in FC. You just don't know what to expect from crew to crew. My crew on my flight earlier that day from London to IAD was fantastic.

I was in Polaris just now and for breakfast the cabin attendant took his phone out and showed me photos he had taken of the 3 dishes...

Can anyone help me have a sense of what to expect for meal on IAD-SFO evening flight (in First)? It is a Polaris seat plane, but not sure what that implies about the meal. Website just says "dinner" - will there be a few choices? Some kind of salad and dessert include? Thanks for any tips!

The return of hot towels in F?
{W}hen do we project UA will return hot towels as part of domestic F service?
I appreciate that not everybody on FT misses the hot towels, and some here hypothesize that they are not hygienic.
However, if the FA’s were to again offer the tray of hot towels to customers seated in the F cabin, then customers would have the option to accept or decline, which customers currently don’t have.
Do folks generally agree that having the hot towel option is better than not having an option?

Other (US) airlines have restarted hot towel service already. UA is going to hold out as long as possible because it's additional costs.
