I'd be doing it now myself, but my $500 purchases are now $700 and my $600 purchase is close to A GRAND. (See the 'insane summer fares' thread--quite apropos).

Actually, I'd have taken the COMPLETE opposite approach that you are. That $50 minimum is a GIFT! I've had previous MilePlays for "Take 3 trips in a premium seat*" Whereas " * " later said "Minimum fare of $500 applies". I'd certainly rather have a minimum purchase lower than higher...I don't think this is as much as finding a premium seat for $50, as them saying there's basically no minimum for you. It's not like they're saying it's a maximum of $50.

I think I'm winning this offer (so far) in terms of number of miles available.
Book FOUR premium seat tickets to get 99,000 bonus miles. That's not a typo. Minimum cost $900. I will not be hitting this requirement at all.
