both TK flights to KUL are scheduled with 777 , and 787 here and there - should be better than TG 777. Just flew ( 6 days ago ) , TK 777 to JFK , it’s more than decent product , we are family of three and love the outdated 2-3-2 set up in business.. Got tickets to KUL , spending 3-4 days there, then 3-4 days in Singapore , then flying out with SQ to CHC for two weeks in NZ.

There are quite a few from NYC/BOS/ORD in Jan & Feb , flights with TK. Have you checked MIA ?

The SIN flights are short haul but on 787 and A350 aircraft. Unfortunately, as you previously alluded, the TK ex-KUL flights are on the unpleasant 777. Using KUL, rather than SIN, as an open jaw saves 30,000 MP. You can still get KUL-SIN-SFO-xxx with SIN-SFO on UA metal, but in my case the SFO-YUL segment would have been over 5 hours in Y on an AC A220. I preferred the TK 777 in J as a lessor of two evils.

Thanks! Picked up MIA-DEN-YVR-BNE for end of schedule @ 60k and used aeroplan for the return (although will probably dump for FJ when it opens)

For those of you flying on TK, you can select your seats via the TK app using the TK confirmation number provided by UA. For some reason, the website didn't permit this, at least IME.

Just got one flight cancelled but booked two on the same date. Cancelled flight was DPS-SEA and first from MNL-SEA. 60k Miles + Cash not yet returned to account.

Not really. The TG segments book into I, which is how it's supposed to work.

Has anyone mandated to find a TPAC routing through TYO or ICN where the Thai segment books into I? I'm looking over December / January and the last legs are all in X (economy)

The TATL routings all seem to have I space on the last leg but I would really rather fly west than east.

Just a word of thanks to the op, edsh, for bringing this deal to our attention and providing us some useful playtime during a holiday weekend.
