2022 Premier Earner Starter PQP posted (varies on elite level, how status achieved, )

United is providing MP elites with PQP bonuses for 2022 (for 2023 qualifying), with credits to MP account starting Feb. 10. It appears this is in process of rolling out universally, so if you don't see PQP yet wait a bit.

Credits appear to be as follows, though some posts in the thread may vary from these figures. Matthew had an exchange confirming the program and reverse engineering these figures as well, below.

If you "earned" the status for 2022 (whether or not needing the various bonuses or fly to the finish) you receive an "earned bonus". If you received your status through an extension of past status or through being a million miler companion, you get the "starter bonus", which isn't as high.

GS: 3000 PQP
1K: Earned: 3000; Starter: 2250
Plat: Earned: 2000; Starter: 1500
Gold: Earned: 1400; Starter: 1050
Silver: Earned: 700; Starter: 525

The posting of the Starter PQPs in your account may initially be puzzling

In the summary activity, only the RDMs are shown and for the Starter PQPs, there are no RDMs, just PQPs
Looking further down you will see

Clicking on "View Full Activity details, where you will see the PQPs

Tomorrow, United will notify MileagePlus Premier members of a surprise deposit of extra Premier Qualifying Points (PQP) to their accounts to help jump start earning towards their 2023 Premier status goals. Since United extended the lowered Premier qualification thresholds offered at all levels last year, the personalized deposit gifts members 15% -20% of what they need to requalify for status through 2023.

Premier members’ deposit amounts will vary depending on:
  • The Premier status level reached at the end of 2021
  • Whether Premier status was earned or extended
    • Members who earned status, by either meeting the annual requirements or completing the Fly to the Finish challenge, will receive higher PQP deposit amounts

From the response MatthewLAX got saying 15% - 20%, I think it must be:

Silver: 525 (standard) / or / 700 ("earner")
Gold: 1050 (standard) / or / 1400 ("earner")
Platinum: 1500 (standard) / or / 2000 ("earner")
1K/GS: 2250 (standard) / or / 3000 ("earner")
I earned Gold and got 1,400 PQP, so my datapoint suggests this is correct.

Got my 3,000 PQP, thank you! Now only if Japan would open up to gaijin (with no quarantine I mean)! Maybe Sydney in July to help earn some PQPs. Fingers crossed.

I was going to quantify the PPs and PQMs that $18 cost you, but then I saw your user name

There's got to be a story there...tell us.

I would be interested to know if anyone who hasn't received the bonus was basically home-bound and is GS now objectively due to the extensions.

That's me reading very deeply into the "Earner" in the line-item.
here is a datapoint then - completely homebound for 2 yrs (from UA prospective - i take flying Avelo doesnt count ) but 3K PQP arrived this morning

I earned 1K without any promotions last year with ~23K PQP's and am already at 14K for 2022 on track for probably a $50k+ USD year and nada for me yet on the stater PQP's.

I'm going to be very annoyed if they don't show up for me.

I got 1500 as a Plat that got extended and didn't requalify in 2021, so fumje 's response seems to be right (and not the wiki entry currently).

UA silver here.

got 700 PQP “earner”

I did technically earn silver last year due to all the PQP bonus promotions.

With how cheap the flights I’m flying so far this year I don’t think I can re-qualify for silver without PQP bonus promos.

1K/GS: 2250 (standard) / or / 3000 ("earner").

That still doesnt compensate for spending for FttF vs just being extended....

3000PQP 1K Starter Earner Bonus just posted a few minutes ago. Qualified by early fall last year with the help of the various bonuses that United handed out throughout the year.
