Person(s) still there, however, they're now tasked with elevator + crowd control. The area outside the elevator is always congested because of the confusing security setup at EWR. If they're not directly in front of the elevator, look 15 ft left or right and you'll see them.

“The Global Service Reviews are all done now. I have submitted a request for reconsideration, please allow 7-10 business days for processing.

A new low for GS customer reps today. I had one who refused to force an upgrade for even 1 segment of a companion ticket when I had paid for first myself! She was absolutely firm: there's no space for upgrades! It was J9, not seats assigned other than my own. Solved by HUACA.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea this was a thing
Has anyone else tried this? Am flying out of EWR on 13th Feb and will try it out if there is a CLEAR line.
I remember being a 1K in 2019 and watching GS breeze past me in the Precheck line, then when I became GS in Jan 2020, they had just started up CLEAR and I never got to experience the joys of the GS line!

check line and if you let them know you’re GS, they’ll bring you to the front

Hand-written note from Captain today
On SJU-IAH, brought to my seat by an FA on the captain’s business card. It reads: “Dear Mr. [st530]: I hope you have a nice weekend, and thank you for your continued loyalty! Captain [SJU-IAH]”
Nice touch.

While participating in the avocado toast bar at the Admirals Club in DFW this morning I continued to wonder why I've been so captive to UA/GS for the last several years. Should qualify for EP by the end of the month and now i'll have to figure out if I "layer" my Denver GS tag or not.

Got a "kit" a few weeks ago. Just a welcome letter, benefits brochure and customer appreciation acknowledgement forms to hand out for exceptional service. No luggage tags of hub city metal tags. Perhaps that will be coming later?

Last for me was also 2020 Denver - I even got shiny new Delta tags this year - everyone else is busy recognizing status, but GS are still flying on United, which makes us easy money.

The other day, just after really bad weather across much of the country, I had to call the GS line for assistance. "Your wait time is five to ten minutes," said the recording. A great GS representative picked up in seven minutes and solved my problem promptly. Right after that I had to call AA. I'm lowly Gold, but got the "Your wait time will be more than four hours." I selected the auto call-back feature, and the call back came in ELEVEN hours. (When I got the initial four+ hour notice, I had a friend call the AA EXPLAT line, and he got the same thing!).
Fast connection to a GS live agent is a key benefit for me.

Was hoping to get one of those cool United globes that were apparently sent out sometime in 2020 or 2021 to some GS folks but no joy for me
