My last pre-pandemic meal was on UAX, flying IAD-SRQ, in the first week of March, 2020 which still seems like another world ago. I was served a cold breakfast plate that clearly was refridgerated. Given IAD-SRQ is only two hour takeoff to landing flight, I found it be acceptable and was better than what AE offered, just a snack basket.

I should've gotten the eggs instead. I had those last time and they were good and substantial.

Wow - that's just pathetic! I hope the FA was embarrassed serving that.

I'm sorry for laughing, but that is hilarious. The waffle served literally has half the squares of the one pictured. Not to mention the rest that wasn't served, and the pathetic breakfast syrup that was.

I wouldn't touch that plate, would have asked FA to switch it with other option or somehow fix that with $ or miles!

DEN-EWR (and on to BGR)
UA627, breakfast service

Preordered the "Tomato and kale baked egg" and received it. (Btw this thing goes by like 5 different names - egg white frittata, pretty sure FA called it "the egg quiche" onboard, and so on.)
PDB offered, choice of water or orange juice.
The egg-by-many-names dish was really, really good. I would always get this without hesitation if it were an option.
BOS-DEN

Preordered the Impossible Meatballs (hello, my old friend). The only other preorder option was the Zatar Chicken... sigh.
Despite all appearances, this is still a pretty solid choice. Everything was hot, and I think this was my first time getting Kerrygold butter on UA, at least this year.
And despite having been forewarned by this forum, I wasn't truly prepared for the mozzarella "salad" here. Whatever they are thinking, they need to reverse course.

^ That waffle is pathetic. A couple of the packaged economy stroopwafel might beat that. The scramble in the following posts is much better.
