Your unused PlusPoints are being extended to Jan 2023 (or July 2022)
Has anyone heard about whether they will extend the PlusPoints currently set to expire in Jan 2022?

I have 3 expiration dates for my PlusPoints ....... 1/31/22, 7/31/22, and 1/31/23. I have the same question about the 1/31/22 points. In years past I believe that UA granted extensions for 40 Points until 4/30 upon request?

IIRC, previously 2 GPUs / 80PP equivalent were allowed to extend thru April, IF one requalified for 1K/GS status.

Any that show 1/31/2022 are likely originally 1/31/2021 and then extended twice for 6 months each. It will be interesting if United allows PP that have been extended twice already to get another 4 months up to 80 PPs. My guess is they will have a hard time sorting out all the details to determine if they were earned in the previous year so will likely just not allow any extensions.

I also have 3 sets of expiry dates for my PlusPoints. Basically:
PP earned in 2019 => 2022-01-31 expiry date.
PP earned in 2020 => 2022-07-31 expiry date.
PP earned in 2021 => 2023-01-31 expiry date.
PP earned in 2019 => 2022-01-31 expiry date.
PP earned in 2020 => 2022-07-31 expiry date.
PP earned in 2021 => 2023-01-31 expiry date.

I called yesterday to waitlist an itin with points and the agent said to expect a decision in Dec. She said that question gets asked a lot. Take that for what its worth..

I'm burning mine assuming they won't extend the 1/31/2022 batch. Well, I'm trying to burn, I should say... used STW for the first time, so that was fun!

I believe expiration depends on when/how earned. My remaining 2019 earned PP expire 1/31/22. While I would love to see those extended, UA has already been pretty generous with the extensions (much better than AA), and I don't know that it's reasonable to expect a further extension. My 2021 earned PP expire 1/31/23. (I didn't qualify in 2020, just the free status extension, and thus earned no PP.)

Ugh, with all these ridiculous promotions this year I'm a PlusPoints hoarder. I suppose it's unreasonable for me to expect 80 from 2019 to roll over so I'll find some lucky friends. Assuming they have a snowball's chance to clear

Will UA be extending Jan 2022 expiring PlusPoints? In whole? Partial to April?
