On one of my segments, I was upgraded late in the game. So I didn't get to pick the seat I might have wanted. Instead, I got the seat I was given.
As requested by nomad420 , here's a more difficult one.
Which seat is this?
And which plane type?

76L 18L or 18A
77W 16L or 16A
Edit: B787, 4A or 4L (if LAX-ORD was the route)
There is no unique answer on this quiz, David.

My backup guess is the same position on the 77W (16L), which would look pretty much indistinguishable. I forget which type ORD gets more of right now.

Obviously a bit of a blind guess since there are a few choices, but based on the domestic MR context I'm going with a 77E (777-200ER), seat 12L.

And, yes, it was a 777-200ER, Ship #3003.
I'd prepared additional photographic clues but those are moot.
Never underestimate the knowledge of FlyerTalkers.
OK, well, here's another challenge:
What "meal" was served here? Which catering station?
For extra points, where was this meal from?
David
p.s. An even better question: Why was I even served this meal on UA?

I have an idea for the next photo once this one is solved.

What I think that's even more impressive is the specific locale where this "pasta" dish was produced.
And, no, it wasn't catered out of EWR. And really not edible in the sense of "eating".
Additionally, for the record, only the few pieces of pasta actually inhabiting the "sauce" were edible. The rest were, how shall one put it, "significantly chewy" and not edible. The descriptor phrase of "leathery pasta" just rolls off my tougue...
For kicks and giggles, here's two more shots of the same "meal":
Any more thoughts on which catering station provided this sumptuous repast?

And, yes, while Wood Dale is a relatively short drive from ORD, that "meal" sticker was a bit of a red herring.
So, WRT the servicing kitchen, no.
David
p.s. and, yes, it was disgusting.

While Wood Dale is the location of the distributor that UA uses, the actual "meal" was produced, sadly, in Italy. Which I think is shameful given the pride that Italians have toward pasta, its preparation and service.
And, yes, while Wood Dale is a relatively short drive from ORD, that "meal" sticker was a bit of a red herring.
So, WRT the servicing kitchen, no.
