Award sale in Y yesterday, 12/14

Anyone burn some UA miles in domestic Y yesterday for the one day sale? Scored 11K RT MSP to FLL in Feb. I'll take that any day even if it is in Y.

Not necessarily a sale, but West Coast to Hawaii r.t. can be had for 18k miles.

Florida fares are generally pretty cheap in February before President's Day weekend bump. DL also currently has 11K roundtrip awards for MSP-FLL with pretty good availability (BE awards are a little less at 9K RT).

Was it a special day for UA yesterday?
it is just fare-based award ticket in X/XN.

Ya I got the email of a one day award fare sale. Same itin today as I booked is back to 25K RT. Delta is much better at domestic award pricing but with that sale they essentially matched Delta so I took it.

I got the email but did not purchase a flight. I should note it was to purchase flights.. I was wondering if it was some kind of litmus test for flight demand...

FTTF got some people flying in Q4. I have learned my lesson after that promotion.

I do have some domestic travel I may be willing to book but want to see the offers that United is going to make for Q1 before doing so.

With 30 day canx policy on award tix, not a bad idea to book now and can change if something better comes along Q1.

Have you ever booked a HI itin where you book the mainland legs on sep RT or one way legs from the Mainland to HI legs?
18K miles seems a pretty good deal, but I'm hesitant to combo with a separate mainland itin for fear of missing flights to HI and then back home.

A schedule change would make this a mess. Not worth it.
