Thanks for the pre-Covid nostalgia!
Aaand back to IAD PL content - and not bad Asian food takes elsewhere in the US… 😉

"Then I asked a server for private dining area. Eventually, an assistant manager guided us in."
Is the dining area that hard to find? How big is this lounge?!

Really lovely lounge! The bartenders need a lot of training, but everything else was top notch!

Wow, that buffet spread definitely took a hit from what it used to be pre covid. Will be interesting to see what the other lounges buffet will look like as well. In either case, still a decent spread. Thanks for the pics.

I only grabbed a photo of the salad bar. There was another row of really nice hot food that I didn't try because I ate in the dining room. This is definitely just a little part of the food!

Glad to hear that. Excited to make a visit there in January for sure then!

They had 7 I think. I only remember Old Ox (local) and Peroni. I know the other options looked nice but I can't remember them!

Thanks. Sounds like a big improvement over the UC. As long as they have options without "Lite" in the name. Also glad to hear they are supporting the local microbreweries like Old Ox.

Curious: do the toilet doors have red/green LED indicators à la EWR PL lounge?

Well, now I don’t feel quite as annoyed by my domestic-to-Polaris to Europe itinerary next week changing from a 1-hour connection to a 4+ hour connection…
I’m sure I’ll find a way to pass the time. 😉

Indeed. I am just looking at rerouting my next TATL trip in a couple of weeks thru IAD as well - hoping a 3hrs inbound connection (incl. customs clearance) will still be sufficient and allow some quality time at the PL.
