Random tangent, but is using 'M' to refer to Economy a European thing? The only place I have seen it is on my LH boarding passes.

This is incredible!! Wow. How long does it take you to put together a seat map Prospero ? You should Tweet at UA and see if they'd be interested in integrating your maps into their website!
Edit: one quick suggestion. On their website and app, UA uses gray seats to denote Economy and Blue seats to denote EconomyPlus. Your colors are switched so it's a bit confusing for someone who spends a lot of time looking at UA seatmaps .

Second: Bumping the quoted comment because I had been looking at UA's own 787-8 seatmap for a recent trip where I'd booked PremPlus. And I thought there were only 3 lavs for 215 econ/e+/p.e. passengers. I was picturing out of control lines after wakeup en route AMS.
I ended up buying up to J at check in for a chance at real sleep. But that meant I never went aft. I did hear the FA say something about the econ lavs, I think to re-enforce that PE pax were not to pop thru the aft J mini-cabin. I'm pretty sure he said there were 4 lavs for main cabin? Maybe the center block by door 3 is two lavs, one regular and one handicapped? If that or some other layout yielding 4 can be confirmed, the excellent Aerolopa map should be updated to reflect that. TY.

Many non-US airlines use M on boarding passes to mean "main cabin". It has nothing to do with fare classes.

On the 787-8, the only two J lavs are at the very front, in the active J galley area and close to the flight deck.
I don't recall the exact language, but it was to the effect of "Do not pass the closed curtain dividing the cabins, there are four lavatories for your use in the main cabin."
On other aircraft I agree that the typical announcement is to "use the lav in your cabin when possible."
