Interesting. I'm sure it's just an oversight by UA. Still, "Business" is the magical marketing designation that provides UC access. I wonder if the boarding pass scanners at the UC might see "business" and give the green light (and, if so, probably overruled by the desk agent)?

I think it would be the opposite - I think a desk agent or two might be eager to deny access to someone who was accustomed to access. Im prettty sure theyre up on the downgrade of BOS/SFO.

Also, for SFO-BOS route, the Mileage Upgrade Award from Economy to Business is 25,000 miles plus $250 co-pay. But according to the rule, the co-pay should be $0 within the U.S except for NYC-SFO/LAX or long-haul Hawaiian routes.
This is so inconsistent...

Still the weird in-between p.s. vs. not situation with BOS-SFO. Will check lounge access in a few weeks when I fly to SFO; worked last time! And it is back to a 752 ... will see if it has premium t-con catering.
