Do we think the desk agents/lounge dragons know that that particular route is being marketed as Business but "should" in fact be marketed as First? Personally I doubt so--IMO they would just see the green light and wave pax in.

I think it would be the opposite - I think a desk agent or two might be eager to deny access to someone who was accustomed to access. Im prettty sure theyre up on the downgrade of BOS/SFO.

Also, for SFO-BOS route, the Mileage Upgrade Award from Economy to Business is 25,000 miles plus $250 co-pay. But according to the rule, the co-pay should be $0 within the U.S except for NYC-SFO/LAX or long-haul Hawaiian routes.

This is so inconsistent...

According to the catering sheets, SFO-BOS is still catered as a premium transcon. Anyone flown it lately?

I flew in early September but it was a breakfast flight, so I cannot tell by sorbet (premium) vs. "pie in the sky" (non-premium).

Might not be the best indicator anyways, since on my last SFO-EWR I got neither. Just a packaged cookie.

I flew SFO to BOS a few months ago, well after it was supposedly dumped as a PS route, and I was able to use the UC in SFO. This was before the more recent catering changes, so unable to comment there.

Still the weird in-between p.s. vs. not situation with BOS-SFO. Will check lounge access in a few weeks when I fly to SFO; worked last time! And it is back to a 752 ... will see if it has premium t-con catering.

What was the main? Those are different for "premium" / non-"premium".

Pie in the sky is the worst desert ever. Just give us a packaged chocolate chip cookie or something. Terrible.

I want the Christie Cookie Company ones that used to be standard with UX Lunch and Dinner. Those were tasty.

Premium is egg white or kale puff / French Toast while non-premium is plant-based chorizo egg scramble or waffle.

How are people ending up upfront:
  • buy business/first
  • upgrade to business/first with pass plus points
  • upgraded with cpu's?
