Terms and conditions:
*To be eligible for this TravelBank Cash offer, you must click the button in this email or log on to united.com/travelbankboost and register by October 31, 2021. Your purchases and purchases by authorized users of the account will count toward your total spending monthly from the month you register through December 31, 2021. TravelBank Cash awarded through the use of the authorized user's card will only be credited to the primary Cardmember's account. All registration and spending deadlines are 11:59 p.m. CT on the last day of the month. Through this promotion, you will qualify for and receive $1 TravelBank Cash, up to $30.00 TravelBank Cash per month, for each posted transaction you make if you make purchases with your qualifying United MileagePlus® credit card and spend at or above the specified monthly minimum amount during the promotional period. Failure to meet the monthly minimum spend amount will forfeit this TravelBank offer for that month. Purchases posted to your account with a transaction date during the month you register through the calendar month-end are eligible for this offer. Delays by the merchant, such as shipping, could extend the transaction date into the next calendar month or beyond the offer period. ("Purchases" do not include balance transfers, cash advances, traveler's checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable. Returns and refunds will be deducted from purchase amounts.) Please allow 6–8 weeks after each calendar month-end for the awarded TravelBank Cash to appear in your registered MileagePlus account posting back to the last day of the calendar month it was earned in. Each $1 TravelBank Cash issued as part of this promotion is valid through June 30, 2022. TravelBank Cash is valid for air travel purchases on United- and United Express-operated flights, including ticket, taxes and surcharges, and is redeemable on united.com and through the United Customer Contact Center. TravelBank Cash is not valid in conjunction with any other programs (e.g., MileagePlus award redemption). If the full amount in the TravelBank account is not used for a transaction, the balance can be used toward the purchase of another ticket within the original validity period. However, if you close your registered card account during the promotion period, any unawarded portion of TravelBank Cash earned from this promotion will not be issued to your MileagePlus account. To qualify for this bonus offer, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. If you change credit card products during the promotional period, you can only earn this bonus through the calendar month in which the product change takes effect. This promotional offer is nontransferable and applies only to the account ending in the last four digits referenced in this email. Additional terms may apply. This offer is subject to all of the TravelBank terms and conditions.

my Select card also got the spend $100, get $1 per purchase, up to $10 per month through the end of 2021, and the TB $ seem to be valid until June 2022. Seems to be a dual purpose to increase use of the card, and get people spending on tickets again - even if some of that is a little bit further down the line.

initially, I misread and thought it was $1 per $100 in purchases per month. I like the actual reading much better.

wonder if this will work on my Gateway card (yeah…the one that formally was the TravelBank card). I know folks were presuming the TB was dying, but seems it is somewhat coming back to life.

For Chase UA credit card holders, I recommend entering/testing all of your credit cards.

For myself, I've gotten the $100 / $10 for my Select card, $200 / $20 for my (now) Quest card and $300 / $30 for the original Club card.

One way to drive purchases....

My Explorer card qualified with the standard 100/10. For May and June it won’t be an issue to earn this thanks to the 5X (up to $1500) promo from Chase. Not sure about subsequent months. Maybe a bunch of Amazon $1 reloads each month?

My NAF MileagePlus Visa, formerly a UA Select Visa, didn’t qualify.

My son didn't, though receiving this error message when trying to sign him up based on this thread:

"We're unable to process your registration due to missing information. Please complete the highlighted fields below and then click Register."

I guess that means he wasn't targeted, as I have completed, checked, rechecked and clicked several times.

So yeah, both my Gateway and wife’s got the same error message. Guess it’s for the cards with annual fees only?

on the other hand, wife was able to register her Select card, even though she never received the email.

Or for accounts that are targeted, as the MileagePlus Explorer Card has a $95 annual fee.

It is also possible thay Chase takes a phased approach, because of technological limitations in signing up too many at once.

so would you say it means 10x$10 purchases to receive the full $10 travel bank credit? i see a lot of posts saying spend $110 (assuming 10x$1 purchases after $100) to earn the full $10 credit

my read of the terms doesn’t suggest any minimum purchase other than you need to spend the $100 to activate it for that calendar month (at least on my Select).

so sounds to me like you just need to hit that minimum spend per calendar month to have each transaction (up to 10) count for the month. So sounds like a single $100 transaction will ‘activate’ the earning (of $1, if it’s in that one transaction), with the next9 earning an additional $1 each. I don’t see anything indicating that the transactions need to be $1 - could presumably be $0.01. Or, seems like there could be10 transactions of $10 to earn the full amount in the calendar. Or where 10 transactions average $10 each (ie, 10 $10 transactions, 2 $25 transactions and 8 transactions of $6.25, 5 $10 transactions, 1 $40 transaction and 4 $2.50 transactions, etc.).
