Summer will be a harder sell because the Great Lakes beaches are lovely that time of year, and I actually think that in July and August, the weather is better in Traverse City or South Haven or the like than it is in Pensacola or Hilton Head- pleasantly warm but not super humid and less prone to thunderstorms.

Interesting. Having just left CVG in the summer, we had been thinking of taking a trip to all of those destinations at somepoin except PNS - very likely flights like these may have been the push to get us there (even though we are used to connecting). Never would have thought CVG of all places would have this kind of service (heck, UA couldn't even consistently get a daily CVG-SFO to work, even pre-pandemic).
That said, I haven't checked much, but I can't imagine the fares to some of these places are going to be great from UAs perspective. For example, is there really profit, much less the kind of returns UA wants, in competing with Allegiant to PNS? That said, I guess these days, any profit works, if they can get it there.
On the other hand, being out in the Bay Area now, when we get back to flying, hopefully in the latter half of this year, I'm really going to miss those 550s. Those are great little planes for these <2 hour flights (and I'd guess these would be relatively easy upgrades, even for silvers).

In the case of PIT-PWM, it is 3x weekly on Sun/Wed/Fri. May 27 is a Thursday, so no flight that day.
