United Blocking UA J Saver Awards via Partner Miles

Just wondering if folks in this group have noticed anything. I've noticed many routes with business class award availability showing up on United but not other partners (all confirmed via LifeMiles, Aeroplan, and Miles & Smiles). None of them could see it.

I'm not logged in either when I search these routes so I don't think it would be the difference in award availability given to MileagePlus members.

Any thoughts?

In *A, not all award space are released to partners. But if you could provide an explain, it might help the discussion.

WDYM? My understanding is that I space is available to everyone. Is that wrong?

There is a certain logic to giving preference for one's own members.

OP, please share some examples. This would be huge if true and out-of-character for United.

This is true for LH-group carriers, which have their own subset of X/I/O class. Also true of SQ. I hope this is now not true of UA!

EWR-HNL for a couple dates this summer. Obviously its gone now but was around for a few days this week.

I totally get United saving availability for the own members but thought that wasn't the case with I award space. That's rough if that's now actually the case.

I-class EWR-HNL? Sounds like an error on .bomb to me

Are you sure this was bookable?

I see EWR-OGG back now on AC so it must be just LifeMiles and Turkish's god-awful IT. Who knows.

Its on 8/23 and 8/30. I am guessing its just bad Turkish and Lifemiles IT as its now showing up on AC however.

It must be StarNet or the other websites then then as AC is showing it. Thanks for the quick reply guys! I suppose its still good just not as great as paying 12,500 Turkish Miles.

The economy award is valid X9 but business is I1
On the 23rd IN3 I2

what happens if you start but don't complete a business award booking in any of those programs?

TK.com has never been able to book long-haul flights to HI. That's a TK bug, not a UA bug.
