Currently 1MM/LT Gold
PQP: 3837
PQF: 13

No offer to upgrade to Plat. It looks like the other folks in my boat got offers for about $3k, which I would have passed on anyhow.

I am not sure that this offer is for MMers. I have not seen an offer up thread.

Just for fun (btw, I am LT 1K). I got this message after logging in: “Thanks for your interest

Unfortunately, the account number you entered is not eligible for this offer.”

Which actually puts it below the PQP only requirement from last year (7500, vs. 6K PQP and 18 PQF).

Thoughts on whether this one is worth it?
I was in this situation a few years ago and decided to take it since I flew 65 segments that year. At the end of the year, I still wasn't sure if it was worth it or not.

The decision is really based on how much you personally value the perks (additional miles, third bag, PP/upgrades, number of E+, etc.) and how often you think you'll use them in 2021.

My PQD: $5200 PQS 4. The offer to Platinum is $2,800. Interestingly this is the first year I was eligible for buy-up. No, thanks.

Below is what I was offered....most of the travel last year was done in the 1st quarter of the year before COVID for work on short haul flights and there's no ETA on when that will happen again. I'll be taking quite a few trips to cities recreationally for extended weekends so I can get some runs in a different environment than home as I'm training for an ultra-marathon. With that said, I don't have any interest in paying the amount below for the Platinum upgrade.
Here's what you earned in 2021:

Total PQP: 4,650
Total PQF: 25
2021 status earned: Premier Gold

Upgrade to Premier Platinum for $1,696

There are a few MMers above who received offers to buy up, those were the offers I used to figure out mine would have been about $3k.

Gold-Plat offer

Total PQP: 4,262
Total PQF: 14
2021 status earned: Premier Gold

Upgrade to Premier Platinum for $2,427

Anybody think this is worth it if I'm hoping we get some international flights scheduled for late summer? Would be looking to upgrade my family of 4 for one-way.

platinum does not help with international upgrades at all other than the 40+ points that you receive. That would yield you one passenger at a higher fare than the lowest available and not guaranteed unless space is available in the upgraded fare code

Save the money for buy-up offer at check-in. Depending upon your route, $2400 may be enough for three passengers (one way).
Good luck!

Between confirmed E+ and international lounge access in Y this honestly is not a bad offer at all, if I fly enough this year. Of course, given everything, that's a big if.

Got an offer to upgrade to platinum for $2600.

Then 3 hours later they emailed me again to let me know I didn't complete the purchase.
