Should I say I told you so.? I fly out of RIC very often and I rarely miss upgrades for IAD and EWR flights. At minimum, you get a nice seat. If you get some service on CRJ, it is a bonus. Just do not expect too much from some FAs.

Enjoy your runs.

I have a very uncommon last name, and even the first 3 letters are uncommon enough that I haven't seen another on the upgrade list... Until today when I just watched my possible relative get the last F seat while I finish as top of the list, lol
Wasn't expecting a CPU as this is a last minute award ticket, so I am quite entertained to see a rare person with a similar last name pip me

Why not visit them at their seat and say hi and congratulate them.

2/2 UA 1250 IAD-RDU A-320 1K on a K Fare: Cleared a few hours before T-24. I cleared after checking in but before 24 hours. Surprising they didn't hold it back to the last minute.

Still 100% (3/3) in 2022.

7 for 7 in 2022 so far across multiple airlines. So far following the same trend as last year (didn't fail until my 22nd eligible flight in April, and I had mid-tier status then.

Travel should pick up a bit mid-February if historical trends are any indication.

So far so good for me, but I think I'm about to fail next week. At least it's a shorter flight. The first time I failed last year was last week of Jan, so I'm doing better this year I guess!

Surprised to see the morning 8:40AM UA1175 clear on a CPU at T-24 on a Saturday. Taken the same flight a bunch of times throughout the last couple of months and its always been barely made in on PP or just didnt make it at all. When they used a 777-200 with 50 Polaris seats, it was always tough or impossible to clear. 777-300 with 60 Polaris seats is quite a bit more consistent with upgrade chances.

Return flight 11:20pm UA396 also cleared on a CPU at the gate on a Saturday. Seems like the majority of premiers were able to clear. Only angled seats left for CPU seat assignment. Seems pretty consistent to be able to clear CPU especially in the last month.

Still not that many data points, but I was getting blasted for strongly suggesting in the thread about status extensions that with a fair number of folks falling down or off the rolls Feb clearing-odds would get significantly better.

I'm on tonight's HNL-LAX flight - they processed the CPU's a bit differently than they usually do.

They did a mass clearing to F at the 21 hour point (rather than 24) and instead of clearing everyone down to 2 open seats - they still have 9 seats available.

Posted in the schedule sticky thread but possible explanation of the "improvement" of CPU successes
