EWR to SFO 13 November 1029am.

Thai chicken, was flavorsome. Nice to see the sorbet back. Pre arrival snack below.

EWR - LAX 5pm Dinner

EWR-LAX 5pm, went with the Thai chicken and it was very good and filling. No pre-order despite the flight being over 1500 miles, so looks like they're still trying to get that going.

Dinner, dessert and pre-arrival all the same as posted above, so will only post one pic.

Excellent service throughout!

Was it so frozen that you needed the box cutter?

Any recent reports on longer duration (3+hr) dinner hour flights on UA-Ex departing from IAH? I assume it's a cold plate of some origin if no onboard ovens, but hopefully not a snackbox or bag of treats.

PDB and Glasses

On a FLT from EWR to IAH and overheard the purser stating limited PDB come back on 11/26 and proper glasses on 12/1. Let’s see if this comes true!

The FA for me joked 'here's your frozen solid dessert". That said, I waited 10 or 15 min or so and it was fine, she was refilling drinks in the meantime too

"The Chicago-based carrier is officially bringing back predeparture beverages in time for the holiday season, a company spokesperson confirmed to TPG.

Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 23, those seated in the pointy end of United flights will enjoy the choice between sparkling wine and water during the boarding process. This includes both domestic and international routes.

Then, just over a week later, on Wednesday, Dec. 1, beverages will once again be served using glassware and ceramic coffee mugs in premium cabins.

Two varieties of glasses are reintroduced in domestic first class and six different types for international routes, including Champagne flutes and cordial glasses."

My guess is: This limited choice is not temporary.

It isn't, but I saw another memo that tells FAs to honor all requests if time permits, so it seems like you can still request whatever you want.

When glassware returns, will PDBs still be in plastic cups like they used to be or will they be making this glassware too now?

Chicken Katsu or Pineapple Fried Rice on tonight’s HNL-LAX. Since it’s a 10:45 pm flight declined. To test the alcohol policy for fun asked for a couple of Bacardi’s and a Diet Coke. He said - sure. They did not announce a 1 drink policy per service (at least so far)

Ill never find the applicable thread - they did announce E+ upgrades available for $150. Yikes.

Taking off. No alcohol announcements. They did announce $37,000 potential fines for mask violations/disruption which was new for me.

I would expect PDB's will still be plastic just to ease the speed of clean-up prior to departure.
