IAH-SFO, UA 2372, 1/8/20
B737-900
Breakfast
I asked for a Tapas box to take to-go after eating at the Priority Pass restaurant at IAH. Seatmate had the sandwich with the seeded loaf. Very mediocre service, flight attendant just going through the motions.

At least I’ve rediscovered my Sapphire Reserve Priority Pass benefits and enjoyed a halfway decent breakfast at Landry’s @ IAH the other day... an overlooked benefit that I’m now planning on utilizing more

But it well and truly went away in practice with the pandemic. Not optimistic it ever comes back, but I still hope one day.

I may be weird, but the time w/ my PDB always seemed to me to be the best part of my flights. Just nice to be through the airport hubbub, security, boarding, stowing and to be handed a rum and coke to relax with...I really miss it.

Wholehearted agreement! I'm sure I am weird, but I loved time with my PDB watching all the bags get heave-ho'd onto the conveyer up to the hold.

Only two of us upfront on this 25 minutes hop. Water bottle handed out then offered a PDB at the gate. No inflight service.

No cheese spread.
By my calculation, without the cheese spread, the tapas box comes in at 500 Calories (now that the flatbread crackers have been downsized). With it, perhaps total of 550-600 Calories? A bit lower than the sandwich's 680 Calories, I suppose. Probably there is a bit more fibre in the tapas box foods than in the chicken sandwich, in any case.

If I recall, the classic box and select boxes have a little less calories and like half the salt. Classic has alot more saturated fat, select alot of sugar

Neat. What do you consider 'everything' for the boxes? The contents vary, inexplicably.
