The level of service offered is otherwise "Snack" (in United Business).
Hmmm weird - it's not available for my LAX-EWR in January, although the meal is labeled as Lunch.

I forgot the brand on it - I thought I remember it being called the "take off" box, but maybe I'm wrong. Nothing in the box or served with it was fresh.
SPN Lifer and tcdtcd like this.

FTTF flights to get me back to 1k

25th DEN-OGG
  • short rib - the usual, but good
  • butternut squash - boring
  • some chicken dish...can't remember exactly what it was
snack:
  • cheeseburger - the usual
  • soba noodle salad - downright awful. noodles weren't fully cooked, barely edible.

28th OGG-ORD
  • pineapple fried rice - downright awful. might as well have been white rice with soy sauce poured in.
  • chicken katsu - ?
breakfast
  • omelette
  • fruit & cheese plate

I find the dried apricots pretty good.

(Hope they don't get cost-optimized out now that I've said that. )

I just saw this posting in a private Facebook group of which I'm a member (so can't post the link). This is today, LAX-HNL

Im flying PHX - EWR, a 2100+ mile flight, on Friday. When going on the app to check aircraft type (MAX 8), I checked out amenities. Meals: No information available at this time. Huh?

I had a "Revive" snack box over the weekend. Included dried apples, a mixed fruit & nuts bag, cheesy popcorn, a chocolate/quinoa blueberry and a dried apple 'two bite' bar... Not seen this particular box before - I've had / been offered the Tapas box approx 50 times!

On IAD-DEN today, had the spicy chicken/latin rice dish with fruit and the warm cookie pictured a page or two above. Actually not bad, though I like the enchiladas better when they have them. BUT I was also given my drink in a GLASS made out of GLASS. There was a PDB, too. Getting a little back to normal?

I think the Revive box is the descendent of the former Select box, the contents of which changed every time I got it. The grab bag variety can be kind of fun, as long as you're not counting on a specific amount of calories from the box.
