With AA announcing delays on B787 deliveries, could the current Boeing issues also affect UAs 787/ widebody fleet?

IIRC they were slated to be retired, so methinks being last beats being retired

What a beautiful post! 20+ leaving the fleet, only one entered! These appear to have unofficially left the fleet back at the beginning of the pandemic--I'm guessing they made it official recently that these will not return?

I meant to share this article with Kirby saying 100 50-seaters are currently parked/exited. Really doesn't mention anything new, but interesting about 100 planes--I'm assuming it's a combination of parked aircraft (doesn't seem to be 100 parked/exited) and low utilization/temporary 'groundings'? And glad to see CRJs heading for the scrapyard instead of the parade of the (arguably) better E145s.

Sad incident to IGM today. Aircraft last flew for ExpressJet on 5/1/20 going into IGM for storage/fleet exit)
Commutair / United Express Embraer ERJ-145 (N16911, built 2001) received damage during a ground engine test a Kingman AP, AZ (KIGM) when it accidentally surged ahead hitting two vehicles seriously injuring a ground worker.

777-200 Paint Update

Pictures on another site show N769UA and N772UA (DEN-HNL engine failure) at VCV repainted in EvoBlue. N769UA has 14 blue engine nacelles next to it, presumably getting fixes applied and to be installed on her sister ships in storage.

Searching I also see photos confirm N213UA as painted in EvoBlu in VCV.
Another photo shows what is labeled as N798UA as also painted in VCV. However, the N number is very hard to read and the aircraft was last painted in 2017.
Also, since 3 Domestic units have been painted, I think that indicates UA is going to place those units back into service as soon as they can.
