Just seeing if anyone has found out to get the Break from Business discount to work with Advanced Search. I was looking at a open jaw flight where if price the one-ways, the discount shows but the multi-flight advanced search does not do the discount. In this case, it is okay b/c I can buy the one-way flights and save money, but sometimes it doesn't work out like that in terms of pricing rules.

One great benefit of this program is that it allows for all people on your itinerary to get the discount. So a party of 4 getting 5% each is like one person out of the group of 4 getting 20% off. Hopefully someone will figure out how to do this with multicity searches.

I stand corrected, it does work! You are a genius!
The key is you have to make sure the app recognized that you are logged in before you start your search.
At first, the only 2 options I saw were Regular or Award Travel and Corporate Travel. I picked Regular or Award Travel and did not see the BfB rate. Then I did Corporate travel just to see the Corporate rate. It asks me to login, which i did. Then I see the corporate rate (but it's locked to 1 person). Went back to Regular or Award Travel and still same non-BfB results.
Then, I clicked on My United, which I think trigger a login into my account. Now when I go to select Book A Flight, I see 3 options: Regular or Award Travel, Corporate rate, and Break for Business rate!
Unfortunately for what i was looking for, the corporate rate was much better than the BfB rate, but that will vary and at least we have an option now.
Also unfortunately, when using the app, you don't have the option to Pay in person with United rep.
In summary, to get multicity to work with BfB rates, go to the app and do something on the app that requires a login, like My United. Then click on Book a Flight.

Is the "Break from Business" discount the same for all? I recently became eligible for this discount and the "Business travel" discount appears to be 10% but the "Break from Business" is closer to 7.5% (vs 10% in the original announcement).
Also noticed TravelBank funding is only available for the "Break from Business" and not "Business Travel". sort of understandable if using a corporate card but in my case we use personal cards and file for re0imbursement.

I think it's supposed to be "up to 10%" - I have yet to actually see 10% off. I do find the discount is higher in premium cabins though.
The idea is that you would be using it for personal travel - so the discount is only available if you select "Personal Travel" from the program dropdown. "Business Travel" does not show the discount.
I have to book my work flights separately through a corporate travel agency, so I only book using "Personal Travel" on the UA site.

The discount is there for me for "Business Travel", perhaps because we have no required booking portal
I don't

That seems wrong if you’re seeing it for business travel…. The original messaging from UA when I first enrolled says it should be eligible for personal travel only. Lucky you I guess!

Break from Business also can be booked online or the app. That discount for me is not quite 10%, but applies to everyone on my reservation (I must be one of the passengers) - thatvis for personal travel

Interesting - I'm seeing different behavior.
I only see discounted fares when selecting "Personal Travel". When I select "Business Travel", I see the regular fares available to everyone. I'm only able to book my corporate aligned discount through my corporate travel agency.
