Chase offer 15% credit for UA purchase

Just passing on a potential credit for chase UA cards. I saw an offer for 15% statement credit up to $57 for a United purchase made by August 9th. Must activate this offfer via credit card app/online before purchase.

Keep in mind purchase must be made with card that offer was activated for.

Logged into my Chase Club Card account and saw this under "Offers". Pop-up, so here's a screenshot. With no change fees, there's potential for some ticket holders to cancel and re-book to snare the credit (assuming new ticket not more expensive, or at least not more expensive than original fare plus $56 ):

15% credit up to $57 = 3 * (5% up to $19)

So the maximum creditable fare is $380, with a minimum (according to the Terms & Conditions) of $100.

I checked - none of my Chase cards - UA or not - have this offer.

which doesn’t really matter since that wouldn’t convince me to book anyway. It’s necessary travel only for me, and booked that last week, for a move, so would have missed that anyway.

i got the 15% on my chase MPE card.

$100 min spend, max $57 cashback.

even with this and my 5x award miles offer, i think i'll probably stay home.

hmmm... 15% cash back
1-2x for credit card spend
MP level bonus
new 3x-7x promotion bonus

that's a lot of math - but almost to the point in which they pay us to fly?

can someone smarter than me figure this out?

sounds temping to just go somewhere - anywhere

Have it on my Club card. Shouldn't be too tough to find a > $380 ticket to max out the credit. Free money is free money if a person needs to buy a ticket anyway.
