United Employee Needs Your Help (light hearted)

Hi, I work for United Airlines. I work in Willis mostly in an obscure department within the TechOps group. (there are UA people tasked to monitor FT, I am not one of them) Like most people I am working from home. United uses MS Teams to have virtual meetings and they just opened up MS Teams for custom backgrounds. Here is where I need your help. I would like a funny United background for my meetings. So, if you have any funny pictures preferably related to United Airlines, please post them below or you can e-mail me at [email protected]

Thank you in advance
Colpuck

Not necessarily funny,
Post Your Favorite United Photos Here - Consolidated Thread

Note re-used of photos for commercial / promotional purposes would required obtaining permission from the owner

Thanks there are some good ones in there. Nope, no commercial activity, just trying to brighten up the morning meetings.

Thank you to you and your fellow United colleagues. This must be very tough for all of you. I for one am looking forward to getting back to flying as soon as possible and seeing and speaking with the front line employees knowing the backroom employees provide invaluable assistance to help get passengers where they need to go.

Please stay safe and well.

Intentional tie tucked in to pants or some sort of oops? or maybe this is how some like it...

Some of these may make good zoom backgrounds!

Seat 1A on Boeing 747. My favorite seat of entire United fleet.

Taken on July 14, 2014 ORD-PVG UA 835.

My million mile flight.

Someone on another forum was looking for a picture of a FC or business class seat photographed from the front that could be positioned so that it looked like the person was doing the meeting while sitting in a premium cabin seat on an aircraft. There might be some UA promotional pictures advertising their premium cabins that would be taken from the right perspective for this to look convincing.

Bonus points if there's a glass of champagne etc. in the picture, but this might not seem businesslike if it's too realistic.

You mean something like this: https://assets.rbl.ms/17637200/origin.jpg

Probably could crop the Saks bedding or position oneself so that it blocked the bedding.

(edit: or use this one without the bedding: https://assets.rbl.ms/22910813/origin.jpg: its path is from the AV Geeks post a few days ago: https://hub.united.com/upgrade-zoom-...45610091.html)

I'll say from experience with that photo: when you test it out to get your positioning right and notice the United logo looks reversed — DON'T get clever and flip the image yourself. Zoom will show it the correct way to everyone else.

The photo in the first link is cool, and the zoomer would probably hide the bedding without additional effort required.

It would still be better with a PDB glass for champagne added if OP wants to have fun with this.

DELee Apr 23, 2020 8:23 pm

Well, that went over well. :)

Here's two other images from the United 747 Farewell Master Thread thread that are a bit light hearted:

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...3a0bb4d3fa.jpg

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...95367d394a.jpg

And, a little humor from the "look what upgrading to First gets you" images:

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...e8b660832f.jpg

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...7fef851e45.jpg

Not sure that the script font made them any more appealing but who knows what UA/CO marketing testing found...

(Why quit when I'm behind... ;) )

Digging around in some of my phone shots, found the following...

Here's a bus going who knows where:

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...eb36499bd5.jpg

Some times you get to fly on a really, really big plane:

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a93f0a1d40.jpg

Apparently I had a flight that flew really, really high earlier this year:

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...43e9ef4691.jpg

....but very slowly....

And sometimes our planes will fly in circles:

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f30b587c44.jpg

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...545aee2a48.jpg

(of course my cell phone shots would be in focus if I didn't drink so much when I fly... ;) )

last one for now - tipping in the LAX Polaris lounge:
