27 prefix are non revenue ferry for a variety of reasons will show on flight status with flight number but not in city pair search.

UA 4-26-20 from NRT To PEK and PVG?
Flightradar is showing two UA flights each from NRT to PVG and PEK on April 26. Is this a mistake on the site or did they have to make a stop?

Cargo operations.

Flights have been operating for the entire month. I believe 3x daily to PVG and 2x daily to PEK.

Just like the old days of NRT operations

For example, the UA2822 is part of ORD-NRT-PEK-NRT-SFO combo using 789 #3954 N13954 some segments are likely ferry and the others cargo

US28xx are indicative of cargo / ferry flights
Empty seatmaps also

My UA pilot buddy and flight instructor back in the day is doing a TLV-EWR cargo flight. He’s happy to be in the air.

Between Fri thru Sun, there are 11 UA flights flying between SFO-NRT (including 3 scheduled ones). 9x 789 and 2x77W. Is UA storing wide bodies in Asia? It looks like a few of these aircrafts are returning to US, but all seat maps are empty both ways.

As noted elsewhere flights numbered 28xx are cargo operations.
UA 937 is a regular pax flight.

Busy freight day at ORD today:

UA2810 ORD-AMS
UA2819 ORD-BRU
UA2776 ORD-FRA
UA2865 ORD-HKG
UA2825 ORD-LHR

Also UA2809 PVG-NRT-ORD arriving later today. Mixture of WB frames. HKG went from B17 but the others are CG01 etc, assuming some cargo hangar.

Wow, 180 cargo-only flights a week, between US hubs and 13 cities (looks like DUB, AMS, FRA, LHR, BRU, TLV, SJU, PEK, PBG, CTU, HKG, SYD, MEL)

If United getting market rates they have to be making a buck. Just paid $13.48 kg for 8,124 kg of high density cargo from pvg to ord. Not sure what air carrier my frieght forwarder is using.
