There are plenty of restaurants open at ATL. You should not have a problem finding somewhere to eat/sit.

You were correct, though several places didn't open until Noon? Much less mask compliance in the concourse at ATL for sure. Still used the UC wifi given that my gate was under the club!

It was kind of UA to extend my membership. But I paid for access at all the listed clubs, not the hubs plus HNL

Assuming this continues, something has to happen.

They were turning people away from the B6 lounge at ORD yesterday 3/18 around 1PM. Guy at the door turned the family in front of me away, saw my GS boarding pass and basically said "sorry it's a madhouse up there but you're welcome to go in if you want to". Spring break travel was very busy with lots of families. My flight on Wednesday was actually oversold by 3! They absolutely need to open another club at ORD. At this point they're just being cheap.

At least they've left the wifi on at the C club. If C16 is not serving a flight you can get a portion of the ideal club experience: decent internet and a quiet space.

(Although now that I write this, I fear someone may go in and shut it off. )

From the start, actually.

The airlines are all still losing lots of money. UA's making a business choice to spend less on its clubs than its competitors are. That's fine, I choose not to fly UA when I have another option.

2.76 oz of sophisticated nibble.

They have those 2.76 oz jobbies in the vending machine at work. A tasty snack.

I was in EWR yesterday afternoon.

No burritos. Actually less selection.

The last time I was there, in late Jan, they had:
Ramen

Sour Cream Lays
Rice Krispy Treats
Pretzels
Carrots
Salami/Cheese
Ritz bits
Yogurt pretzels
Oreos
Dole Fruit Cup
Sabra Hummus

This time, they had:
Ramen
Doritos
Sour Cream Lays
Pretzels
Rice Krispy Treats
Salsa

They basically cut the selection in half.
I noticed a sign saying that the selection was adjusted due to COVID health/safety reviewed with Cleveland Clinic. It's a bit insulting that they are still trying to say these cuts are based health/safety and not money. I'd also like to know what doctor signed off on that selection of food. Other than the carrots, I don't see how any doctor would ever recommend anyone eat any of the options for health/safety.

This time, when I checked in, they gave me a Premium Plus Amenity kit. Last time, I didn't get one. Same premium drink option.

Sounds like you're on a Polaris ticket?

Last time I was there I thought they couldn't possibly cut any more — they had reduced to that list plus carrots and hummus cups — but it turns out they always find a way.

I was there Thursday (3 days ago). Snacks and drinks still available behind the bar. There were chips, salsa, cranberry/prosciutto/cheese, hard boiled eggs and a few other things. Coffee and sodas are poured for you across from the bar...the coffee/soda area is roped off and you have to ask for someone to serve you a beverage. It is the coffee/cappuccino machine the other clubs have; I don't remember LAX having that machine before. I seem to remember them having pots of coffee (although last time I tried to get coffee there, they didn't have any so it's been a while), but I definitely could be wrong about that.

You can eat/drink inside the club or on the patio.

My pictures from Wednesday a few replies above still stand as to LAX's current club service. I was also in there today for a quick few min to grab some water bottles before heading home and nothing has changed. Although they did have this nice ciabatta bread chicken sandwich on display today but I didn't try it.

If I follow your description, those are the same espresso machines they've had at LAX for some years now, the only difference being that an attendant has to operate it for you.

edit: the ones in the background of flyingrohit's post 1227 above
(the foreground is just a vessel of beans used decoratively, if that wasn't obvious!)

Completely packed SFO club this morning. For those wanting food you’d be pleased to see plenty of Sausage Egg and Cheese biscuits from Block & Barrel
