Absolutely not and no thank you. I don't need my lounge experience ruined by a bunch of smelly food delivered to UC's. That sounds awful

No - because that is contained in specific areas. Polaris customers already get unlimited premium drinks and in my opinion more than enough. I have no desire to sit in a United Club while the person next to me chows down on a burrito that United bought them

Well, I disagree with your opinion. In lieu of the Polaris Lounge being closed, offering a chit for ONE drink and ONE little pack of salami for a ticket costing thousands of dollars is grossly insufficient, and "chowing down on a burrito" next to you is really jumping the shark, you've already planned their menu? In fact, a section of the United Club should be set aside for Polaris members with priority, and they should be offered a menu of reasonable choices which can be delivered to them at their table in the lounge, or worst case, a voucher can be issued for the Polaris guest to use at the restaurant of their choice in the terminal. The point is, the current offering is grossly insufficient and insulting.

Premium drinks in UC plus voucher for concourse restaurants is the way to go.

This is pitiful on a grand scale. Not only is United not being consistent in even handing out one cheapskate packet of salami and one "premium" drink to people paying thousands of dollars for their ticket, but given the international J loads, a company more focused on effective customer attraction and retention would probably provide each Polaris customer with a full meal prepared by one of the restaurants in the terminal, to be delivered to, and eaten in the lounge, most certainly for any flights departing in the evening when people might prefer to sleep vs eat dinner after departure. Maybe a month of Kirby's bonus might cover the cost if it's a big stretch for the company.

This is consistent with what a co-worker experienced last week as well as my previous trip thru EWR. I can't speak for the other hubs.

For me, Polaris Lounges offered far more than just a selection of quality wines. United Clubs do not have showers and are often crowded. The SFO PL was spacious and had quiet areas for working. It is missed.

In my opinion, comparing a Polaris lie-flat seat to any Y seat is a non-starter. Could care less about the service as long as they refill drinks. I pass on the sodium laden food offerings even pre-Covid the majority of the time since the reductions started in the 9/11 timeframe.

I’d much prefer my own choice from the pre-COVId dining options than the usual slop one find in UC fka RCC Or even Polaris. I doubt you will see people bringing McDs and ChickFilA into the lounge. That’s a different crowd.
