What if there are groups of 3 pax for example that wanna dine in the polaris lounge together? (either in the a la carte dining or buffet) - I saw in pictures the tables are for maximum of 2 pax per table..

Some do this already, and the PL is (IMO) several notches better than the Star Business lounge, and a cut above the F lounge. If UA secures incremental visits from partners ($$$) then all the better. I assume UA is planning for greater capactiy to Australia soon, as well.

I'm willing to have that debate. Having used the LAX *A F lounge a number of times pre-pandemic, it's below average compared to other F lounges of top carriers elsewhere in the world; more of a business class lounge in terms of quality. Conversely, the LAX PL was my favorite of the portfolio, and has many of the same amenities as the F lounge in what I found to be a more aesthetically-pleasing setting (not to mention way better airfield views and natural light; compared to virtually none). I also thought the PL food was better. YMMV.

As a side note, how likely do people feel about that SFO 1/4 timeline? Because if it seems good, might change my 1/19 flight from India to go BOM-EWR-SFO-LAX rather than just BOM-EWR-LAX. Trying to cover all 5 reopened PLs in these next 2 months just for fun with work trips coming up

I flew Polaris class when the lounge was closed during the pandemic. I think they should have given everyone who flew at that time a free future one-time entry pass into the Polaris Lounge as compensation for not having access. I think that would have been fair instead of leaving everyone with an imperfect Polaris experience despite paying full price. It's still not too late for UA to do the right thing.

Guam UC Construction?
GUM United Club:
I was on the Guam Airport website looking to see what airport lounges might be available, I noticed they said the UC was closed (as expected), but with the comment "Temporarily closed due to construction." https://www.guamairport.com/passenge...irport-lounges .
Anyone walked by recently (around Gate 10) and noticed if it looks like something was really going on or if they just got it wrong. Not a bad little lounge, although the stairs are a bit of an annoyance.
